Nathanael’s practice focuses on charitable fundraising and all related aspects including compliance with charitable solicitation laws, structuring and drafting agreements and fundraising. He advises large corporations and charitable organizations on nationwide charitable sales promotions, royalties, licensing and unrelated business income tax (UBIT). Nathanael assists nonprofit organizations in the formation and application for tax-exempt status. He also reviews and advises clients on creative fundraising business models involving social media and unique applications.

As a former state regulator, Nathanael is uniquely qualified to provide insight to his clients for regulatory practices and strategies, and provide counsel with regard to regulatory compliance and enforcement actions. He also handles state investigations by attorneys general, secretaries of state and other state agencies that regulate charitable solicitations by nonprofit organizations, professional fundraisers and fundraising consultants. He is a frequent speaker on charitable regulations.

Nathanael resides in Parkville, Missouri, with his wife Jennifer and two children, Georgia and Reese. He enjoys reading, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
